The Epiphone EL-00 predecessors were originally produced in the 1930s and 1940s and were intended to be a smaller, economy guitar that was comfortable in size and affordable but still had a big acoustic sound. The EL-00 has a Solid Sitka Spruce top just like the ones that came before it, which helps to improve this little guitar’s sound as the instrument is played and ages more. Joined with a mahogany neck and body, the spruce top and the mahogany make a rich, warm tone much louder than you might expect from a smaller guitar, as opposed to larger ones like it.
This model also features a solid Rosewood bridge and Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay. There is a pick guard with a metal “E” logo to protect the top of the instrument from pick marks. Small, vintage style, die cast metal tuners are also seen on this model along with chrome hardware.

Epiphone EL-00 Reviews
There seem to be plenty of positive reviews on this guitar, with very few and minor complaints. Customers who have bought this guitar overall state that it is a great value for quality and price, and also recommend it for beginner to intermediate guitar players. They like the sound, projection and tone of the instrument quite a bit, and also appreciate the way the instrument is appealing to the eye.
Small things like the smell of the lacquer and the quality of the factory strings (which can easily be replaced) are among the very few complaints about this little guitar. If you are an experienced player, other small adjustments and polishing the frets are recommended by one reviewer to make this guitar sound even more like a larger, more professional model. This little guitar is also great overall compared to others because of its price and sound quality. If you are looking for a great sounding guitar that is affordable, the Epiphone EL-00 could be the right one for you.
